“It is the job of poetry to clean up our word-clogged reality by creating silences around things.” Stephen Mallarmé
I’m a poet, educator and francophile born in Western New York, the land of chicken wings and roast beef on weck. A French major, I studied for a year in Grenoble, France and graduated from the University of Buffalo. I transplanted to Central Pennsylvania, the land of Amish whoopie pies, pot pie and shoo fly pie. I learned to say “soda” instead of “pop” but kept my WNY roots and love of everything French.
Writing poetry is my plan to keep sane. Wish me luck.
