New Models

At the entrance of the closed auto dealership,
a hand-painted sign taped over the Chrysler
emblem welcomes sinners and worshippers
to weekly revival meetings in the showroom.

Rows of folding chairs replace gleaming trucks
and minivans that faced expansive windows
to the busy street––panes reflecting pain and joy,
sacrificing Wednesdays for miracles at 7:30 PM.
